MULTIBEAM ECHOSOUNDERS
R2SONIC 2020
The R2Sonic 2020 is a compact, entry-level Multibeam Echosounder designed for shallow water applications. Although the system's maximum sounding depth is over 300 feet, its optimal performance is best achieved in water depths up to 150 feet. The 2020's small form factor (less than 7 inches wide) and lightweight design (less than 10 lbs) makes the unit ideal for small boats and vessels of opportunity, where portability is a major concern. The R2Sonic 2020 has many options, including Ultra-High Resolution bathymetry (700 kHz), TruePix™ Backscatter, Raw Water Column and Forward Looking Sonar imagery.
R2sonic 2020DH (DUAL HEAD)
The R2Sonic 2020DH is the dual head version of the standard R2Sonic 2020 and is designed for shallow water applications with improved efficiency. Like the standard 2020, the dual head option retains a relatively small form factor for maximum portability and simplified deployment logistics, while improving productivity with extended swath range. The 2020DH is capable of over 10 times water depth coverage, and has many options including Ultra-High Resolution bathymetry (700 kHz), TruePix™ Backscatter, Raw Water Column, and Forward Looking Sonar imagery.
R2SONIC 2022
The R2Sonic 2022 Multibeam Echosounder is a versatile sonar offering bathymetry capabilities from around 5 feet of water to well over 1000 feet. This unit is ideal for navigation and charting applications, as well as pre- or post-dredge survey operations. Additionally, the R2Sonic 2022 provides unprecedented control over both range and resolution due to its wide-band operation (over 20 selectable frequencies between 170 and 450 kHz) and focused beamwidths. Under normal operations, the 2022 uses 1° x 1° beam width, however, highly detailed bathymetry for feature detection and mapping can be achieved with the optional Ultra-High Resolution (UHR) mode (or, 700 kHz at 0.6° x 0.6°).
Optional capabilities available are: TruePix Backscatter, Raw Water Column, and Forward Looking Sonar Imagery.
R2SONIC 2024
The R2Sonic 2024 Multibeam Echosounder is a higher resolution upgrade to the 2022. The 2024 maintains depth capability from around 5' of water to well over 1000' water depth with improved resolution made possible by a focused 0.5°x 1° beam width. Like the 2022, this unit is ideal for navigation and charting as well as pre/post dredge survey applications with improved resolution. The 2024's focused 0.5° x 1° beam widths and wide-band operation (over 20 frequency selections between 200 and 400 kHz along with optional 700 kHz - 0.3° x 0.6° ultra-high resolution mode) offer detailed bathymetry for applications that require high resolution feature detection and mapping.
The R2Sonic 2024 upgrade options include: Ultra-High Resolution bathymetry (700 kHz), TruePix™ Backscatter, Raw Water Column and Forward Looking Sonar imagery.
R2SONIC 2026
The R2Sonic 2026 Multibeam Echosounder is among the most advanced sonar systems of its kind. The 2026 offers unprecedented range and resolution with maximum survey depth capability down to over 2,500 feet. With a focused 0.45°x 0.45° beam width, the 2026 is ideal for projects with deeper bathymetry survey requirements while maintaining the best achievable resolution. This is made possible by the expanded frequency capabilities of the 2026 over the standard 170 and 450 kHz with its optional 90/100 kHz upgrade.
The R2Sonic 2024 upgrade options include: Extended Depth Range (90/100 kHz), TruePix™ Backscatter, Raw Water Column and Forward Looking Sonar imagery.
EDGETECH 6205
The EdgeTech 6205 MPES (Multi-Phase Echosounder) is a dual purpose shallow water bathymetry system. The 6205 MPES offers both high resolution side scan sonar imagery (simultaneous dual-frequency) and wide swath bathymetry (over 10x water depth) with its 200º swath width. The EdgeTech 6205 is ideal for shallow water bathymetry applications where efficiency is essential and depths do not far beyond 300 feet. The 6205 has been well received for projects such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and coastal regions where users can take advantage of the wide swath bathymetry coverage while simultaneously benefiting from high resolution side scan sonar imagery without the logistics of towing a separate sonar.
